The Publication

Behind the Journal

Talevo Field Notes is an independent editorial publication based in London. It exists to document the practical relationship between everyday food choices, eating patterns, and weight awareness, without the shortcuts of prescriptive advice or commercial agenda.

The Perspective

The publication's focus is the practical layer of nutrition: not the biochemistry of nutrients, not the rhetoric of diet culture, but the observable patterns of how people actually eat across a day and a week, and how those patterns relate to weight over time.

The writers at Talevo Field Notes bring a background in nutritional science and food journalism. The editorial approach is observational rather than prescriptive. The publication records, describes, and contextualises. It does not issue directives, endorse products, or make claims about outcomes.

Every article begins with a question drawn from the everyday experience of eating: What does a week of genuinely whole-food cooking look like, and how does the body respond to it? How does the presence or absence of regular movement alter food choices? What does the seasonal produce calendar offer that a year-round supermarket habit does not?
